Becoming a Volunteer

How can you help?

You can choose to volunteer as:
  • and in home one-one-one volunteer to a person recieving hospice services

 

  •  become part of our Quick Response Team, who are a group of individuals who take shifts to sit with a person and or their family during the last 24 hours of life

 

  •  become a Grief Group Faciliator, througha additional training

 

  •  or volunteer your talents playing music for the person on hospice, providing energy work, hand massages or other skill based service. (All persons wishing to volunteer their skilled based talents will need to work closely with the Voolunteer Coordinator to develop their individual practice guidelines within the Hospice Volunteer Program before providing direct care.)

Snow policy: If the Brunswick schools are closed, the Hospice Center is closed and all programs are cancelled
All services provided by our volunteers and coordinator, including home visits and consultations are free. We appreciate, and use, contributions and memorial donations from individuals, towns, and businesses to support the free services that we provide.
